This set of markets tracks how many points are scored by both teams combined during the third quarter of a specific college football game. Each market has a different threshold for the total points needed to trigger a 'Yes' outcome.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams during the third quarter of the Cincinnati vs Arizona college football game scheduled for October 3, 2026. Each market has a specific threshold (ranging from more than 2.5 points to more than 27.5 points) that must be exceeded for the market to resolve to 'Yes'. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the official result. If the game does not start within 48 hours of the scheduled time, all markets resolve to a fair price. Only points scored during the third quarter count toward these markets.
Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, ensuring a profit margin for themselves. This market, however, is driven by the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to accurately predict the outcome. As a result, the implied probabilities from Kalshi often reflect a more accurate assessment of the event's likelihood, though discrepancies can arise due to differing information or market sentiment. It’s valuable to compare both to form a well-rounded opinion.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book, meaning traders are constantly buying and selling contracts representing their belief about the 3rd quarter total points. The price of a contract fluctuates based on supply and demand; if more people believe the total will be over, the price of 'over' contracts increases. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows the market to quickly incorporate new information and adjust probabilities in real-time. The current price reflects the aggregated predictions of all participants on Kalshi.
This market resolves around Oct 4, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the official total points scored in the 3rd quarter of the Cincinnati versus Arizona game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official game statistics as recorded by the league. The final price on Kalshi will reflect whether the actual total points scored exceeded or fell short of the threshold established by the market, determining payouts for traders who correctly predicted the outcome.
Several factors could significantly influence this market. Any news regarding key player injuries for either the Bengals or the Cardinals would likely cause price movement. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to impact scoring, could also shift trader sentiment. Late-breaking news about coaching strategies or team formations could also play a role. Finally, any significant shifts in public perception, even those not directly related to on-field factors, could influence trading activity on Kalshi and move the market.
