These markets track the total points scored by both teams in the second half of a college football game, including any overtime periods. Each market has a different threshold for the total points needed to resolve as 'Yes'.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams in the second half (including overtime) of the Cincinnati vs Arizona college football game scheduled for October 3, 2026. Each market has a specific threshold: if the combined second-half points exceed the threshold, the market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. For all markets, only points scored in the second half count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, the markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Currently, prediction markets often reflect a similar expectation to sportsbooks, but can diverge based on information advantages or differing participant motivations. Sportsbooks set odds to balance action and ensure profit, while this market represents the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to accurately forecast the outcome. If a significant discrepancy exists between this market and sportsbook odds, it could indicate that prediction market participants possess unique insights or have identified a mispricing. It’s important to note that sportsbook odds are subject to change, while the price on Kalshi fluctuates with every trade.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether the total points scored in the second half of the Bengals-Cardinals game will be over or under 19.5. The price of these contracts reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders believe the total will be over 19.5, the higher the price of the 'Over' contracts will climb, and vice versa for the 'Under' contracts. This dynamic pricing allows for a real-time assessment of expectations.
This market resolves around Oct 4, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the final total points scored in the second half of the Cincinnati Bengals versus Arizona Cardinals game will be used to determine whether the 'Over' or 'Under' contract pays out. The official game statistics, as reported by a reputable sports data provider, will serve as the definitive source for the total points scored. Traders will be able to see the final result reflected in their account balances shortly after the game concludes and the data is verified.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before the game concludes. Any news regarding key player injuries on either the Bengals or Cardinals, particularly quarterbacks or offensive playmakers, could significantly shift expectations. Changes in weather conditions, such as strong winds or heavy rain, could also impact the scoring potential. Furthermore, in-game developments during the first half, like a dominant offensive performance by one team, could lead traders to adjust their predictions and alter the price of contracts. Unexpected coaching decisions or strategic adjustments could also play a role in moving this market.
