Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of forecasters, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market is driven purely by individuals willing to put their capital behind their beliefs about the final score. It's common to see discrepancies between the two, especially when public sentiment strongly favors a particular outcome, or when new information emerges that hasn't been fully incorporated into sportsbook lines. Examining both can provide a more comprehensive view.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the probability of each exact score. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and express their views, the prices adjust to reflect the collective assessment. Higher volume on a particular outcome generally indicates greater confidence in that result, driving the price of shares up. The current price reflects the aggregated predictions of all traders on the platform.
This market resolves around Nov 5, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting.
