Often, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance their risk and incorporate a profit margin, while this market reflects the collective wisdom of traders. If a significant discrepancy exists between the implied probability from this market and sportsbook odds, it could indicate that traders believe the sportsbook is mispricing the event. However, it’s important to remember that both represent probabilities based on different methodologies and information sets.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of a particular outcome. The price of these shares fluctuates based on supply and demand, effectively creating a real-time probability assessment. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This means the price reflects the aggregated opinions of all participants, and can change rapidly as new information becomes available or sentiment shifts. The current price indicates what traders, as a group, believe is the probability of a specific outcome in the Chumak vs. Boltnekov match.
This market resolves around Oct 26, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting.
