Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often incorporating information and analysis beyond what’s immediately available to sportsbooks. While sportsbooks set initial lines based on team or player statistics and expert opinions, this market allows traders to adjust probabilities based on real-time information, news, and even subtle factors that might not be fully accounted for by traditional oddsmakers. It's common to see prediction markets and sportsbook odds converge as the event approaches, but divergences can occur, potentially offering value to informed traders.

Strong performances by either team in preceding matches, or even tactical adjustments observed during the match itself, could also lead to price movements.
