These markets focus on the combined outcomes of the first half and the full game in a specific football match between Chicago and Atlanta. Each market requires a particular result in both the first half and the final game outcome to settle as a success.
The markets resolve based on the combined results of both the first half and the full game (including overtime) of the Chicago vs Atlanta Pro Football game scheduled for October 18, 2026. For a market to resolve as 'Yes,' both the specified first-half result and the specified full-game result must occur exactly as described. If either the first-half or full-game result does not match the market's conditions, the market resolves to 'No.' If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original schedule, the markets remain open and resolve based on the official final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours of the scheduled time, the markets will resolve to a fair price. All markets are independent, each requiring a specific pairing of first-half and full-game outcomes to settle positively.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook lines which are set by oddsmakers. Sportsbooks may incorporate biases or seek to balance their risk, while this market aggregates the diverse perspectives of many traders. Over time, prediction market prices often become more accurate forecasts than traditional odds, as they continuously adjust based on new information and collective intelligence. However, sportsbook odds can sometimes offer value, especially if they diverge significantly from the current price in this market, presenting potential arbitrage opportunities for informed bettors.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of each contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. As more traders buy a contract, its price increases, indicating a higher perceived probability. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price movements are driven by supply and demand, responding to news, analysis, and overall market sentiment regarding the Chicago vs Atlanta match. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows for a real-time assessment of expectations.
This market resolves around Oct 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Chicago vs Atlanta match, specifically the 1st Half / Fulltime Result as determined by official league sources. The platform will verify the result against these sources to determine which contracts will pay out and at what value. Traders who correctly predicted the outcome will receive a payout based on the final market price of their chosen contract at the time of resolution.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before Oct 18, 2026. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in team lineups, or significant shifts in team performance could cause traders to reassess their predictions. Unexpected weather conditions or controversies surrounding the match could also have an impact. Furthermore, large-volume trades from informed participants or shifts in public sentiment, reflected in polls or expert analysis, can all contribute to price movements. Monitoring these signals will be key to understanding how this market evolves leading up to the event's conclusion.
