Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, reflecting their profit margin, and may be influenced by marketing or public perception. This market, however, represents the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to accurately forecast the outcome. While sportsbook odds may initially differ, they often converge as more information becomes available and traders refine their assessments. It’s common to see prediction markets outperform traditional odds, especially when accounting for the sportsbook’s built-in margin.
