In the upcoming NWSL game between Chicago Stars FC and Denver Summit FC, scheduled for October 4, 2026 at 4:00 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Chicago Stars FC vs. Denver Summit FC match originally scheduled for October 4, 2026 at 4:00 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Generally, prediction market odds tend to reflect a more accurate assessment of probabilities than traditional sportsbook odds, as they aggregate the wisdom of the crowd. While sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, prediction markets allow traders to directly bet against each other, resulting in prices closer to true probabilities. However, it’s important to note that sportsbooks may offer different markets—like spreads or over/unders—that aren't directly comparable to this market's focus on the exact score. Discrepancies can also arise due to differing levels of information and analysis available to each group.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each possible exact score. The price of each share reflects the implied probability of that outcome. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect the collective wisdom of the crowd. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price movements are driven by supply and demand; if many traders believe a particular score is likely, they will buy shares, driving up the price and increasing its implied probability. Conversely, selling pressure will lower the price.
This market resolves around Oct 4, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final score of the Chicago vs. Denver soccer match is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result declared by the governing soccer league. Any potential disputes regarding the score will be settled based on the league's official records. The market will then pay out to those who correctly predicted the exact score, based on the final result as reported by official sources.
Several factors could influence the price of this market leading up to Oct 4, 2026. Key player injuries or suspensions for either the Chicago or Denver team would likely cause significant shifts in probabilities. Any news regarding team formations, tactical changes, or even weather conditions could also impact trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements about player availability or changes in coaching strategies could also move the market. Furthermore, significant betting activity or large trades on Polymarket itself can create momentum and influence price movements.
