In the upcoming MLS game between Chicago Fire FC and New York City FC, scheduled for October 10, 2026 at 2:30 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Chicago Fire FC vs. New York City FC match originally scheduled for October 10, 2026 at 2:30 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Often, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market reflects the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to make accurate predictions. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply varying interpretations of team strengths and potential game outcomes. It’s common to see this market move independently of sportsbook lines, especially as new information becomes available or as the event draws closer.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders submit buy and sell orders for different exact scores. The price adjusts based on supply and demand – if more people believe a particular score is likely, the price for that outcome will increase. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing mechanism aims to reflect the most accurate probability assessment of the event’s outcome, as determined by the participants trading within this market. The current implied probabilities are shaped by the collective actions of all traders.
This market resolves around Oct 10, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final score of the Chicago Fire vs. NYCFC match is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result declared by the league, and any adjustments made thereafter. The exact score determined at the end of regulation time will be used to determine the winning prediction in this market. Any extra time or penalty shootouts will not be considered.
Several factors could significantly impact this market. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either the Chicago Fire or NYCFC would likely cause price fluctuations. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they suggest adverse playing conditions, could also influence trading activity. Furthermore, updates on team form, tactical changes, or even pre-game interviews with coaches or players could all contribute to shifts in the market’s probabilities as traders react to new information.
