Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market represents the aggregated beliefs of informed traders. If a significant discrepancy exists, it may indicate that the market perceives information differently than sportsbooks, or that one venue has a more efficient or informed trading base. It’s important to consider both sources when forming your own opinion about the likely outcome.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the probability of a particular outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information emerges, the price adjusts to reflect the collective assessment of the event's likelihood. The current price reflects the market's best estimate of the outcome, incorporating all available information and trader sentiment.

This market resolves around Oct 11, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official result of the Chepurnyi vs. Kryvorotko match as reported by recognized sports authorities. The platform will verify the result against these sources to determine the winning outcome and distribute payouts to those who correctly predicted the result. Traders should monitor official sources as the event approaches to stay informed about potential updates or changes.
