All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Generally, prediction market odds tend to reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often proving more accurate than traditional sportsbook odds, especially when accounting for information asymmetry. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and ensure profit, while this market allows participants to directly express their beliefs about the probability of each exact score. Discrepancies can arise due to differing levels of information, biases, or simply the dynamics of each market. If there's a significant difference between the implied probability in this market and sportsbook odds, it could indicate an opportunity for arbitrage, though transaction costs should be considered.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing different exact scores. The price of each share reflects the market’s collective belief about the probability of that score occurring. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect new information and changing opinions. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market is entirely driven by supply and demand; if many traders believe a particular score is likely, they will buy shares in that outcome, driving up its price, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures the market remains responsive to new developments.
This market resolves around Nov 7, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final, official result of the Cheltenham Town FC versus FC Halifax Town match will determine the winning exact score. The resolution will be based on the scoreline at the end of regulation time, as reported by official sources. Any extra time or penalty shootouts will not be considered for the purposes of resolving this market. Traders will be able to claim their winnings once the result is officially confirmed and reported.
Several factors could influence the odds in this market before Nov 7, 2026. Any news regarding team injuries, suspensions, or changes in formation could significantly shift expectations. Unexpected weather conditions on match day could also play a role, potentially favoring one team's playing style over another. Furthermore, pre-match analysis from sports commentators and analysts, as well as any public statements from the managers or players, could impact trader sentiment. A significant shift in betting patterns at traditional sportsbooks could also influence activity in this market, as traders react to new information or perceived value.
