If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, representing their profit margin. This market, driven by the collective wisdom of traders on Polymarket, aims to represent the true probability of an outcome, though discrepancies can occur due to differing information or risk assessments. It’s common to see prediction markets more accurately reflect probabilities, especially as event time nears, as traders actively adjust their positions based on new information and analysis.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in a specific first-half exact score. As more shares are purchased for a particular outcome, its price increases, reflecting growing confidence. Conversely, increased selling pressure lowers the price. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share effectively represents the probability of that outcome occurring, as determined by the collective actions of all traders participating in the market. This dynamic pricing allows the market to quickly adapt to new information and changing expectations.
This market resolves around Oct 10, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the official first-half result of the Chelsea FC versus AFC Bournemouth match will be used to determine the winning share(s). The platform will verify the result against established sports data sources to ensure accuracy. Traders holding shares in the correct outcome will be entitled to a payout based on the final market price at the time of resolution. It's important to monitor the market leading up to this date.
Several factors could significantly influence this market. Any news regarding team injuries, particularly to key players for either Chelsea or Bournemouth, would likely cause shifts in the odds. Tactical announcements from either manager, such as confirmed starting lineups or changes in formation, could also impact trader sentiment. Even weather conditions on match day could play a role, influencing the expected style of play. Unexpected pre-match analysis from reputable sports commentators or analysts could also contribute to price movements in this market, as traders react to new information.
