Description

This market will resolve to "YES" if the combined total number of goals scored by Chelsea and Tottenham is 3 or higher during regular time (90 minutes plus stoppage time only) in the Premier League match scheduled for October 24, 2026, 16:30 UTC. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "NO." If the match is postponed, this market will remain open until the match has been completed. If the match is not completed as scheduled for any reason (for example, if it is abandoned, canceled, or awarded), and an official final result is recognized by the governing body or event organizers, this market will resolve based on that result. If no official final result is recognized and no make-up match is scheduled, this market will resolve "50-50." Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.

Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance action, while this market is driven by individuals willing to put their money behind their beliefs. If a significant number of traders believe a high-scoring game is likely, the odds on this market will move accordingly, potentially diverging from sportsbook offerings. It’s common to see prediction markets more accurately forecast probabilities, especially when there’s strong public sentiment or information asymmetry. Examining both can provide a more comprehensive view.

On Limitless, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing the outcome. The price of these contracts fluctuates based on supply and demand, directly reflecting the collective belief of participants. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders are essentially betting on the probability of Chelsea and Tottenham scoring 3 or more goals combined. As more traders buy 'yes' contracts, the price increases, indicating a higher perceived chance of that outcome. Conversely, selling 'yes' contracts lowers the price, suggesting a lower probability. This dynamic pricing mechanism creates a real-time assessment of the event’s likelihood.

This market resolves around Oct 25, 2026, following the completion of the Chelsea versus Tottenham match. The outcome will be determined by the total number of goals scored by both teams during regular play. The result will be verified against credible public reporting of the match statistics. Any goals scored during extra time or penalty shootouts will not be counted towards the final outcome. Traders who correctly predicted whether or not 3 or more goals would be scored will receive a payout based on the final market price at resolution.

Several factors could influence the price of this market before the match. News regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Chelsea or Tottenham would likely have a significant impact. Tactical announcements from either manager, particularly if they suggest an attacking or defensive approach, could also shift trader sentiment. Even weather forecasts, if they predict conditions conducive to high-scoring games, might play a role. Unexpected team selection announcements or late-breaking news about player form could also cause movement in this market as traders react to the latest information.
