Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set odds based on their own models and risk assessment, while this market is driven by individuals willing to put their money behind their beliefs. This can lead to discrepancies, particularly when public sentiment diverges from expert analysis. It’s common to see prediction markets react more quickly to new information or changing circumstances than sportsbooks, as traders continuously adjust their positions based on the latest developments.

On Limitless, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell contracts representing the different outcomes. The price of each contract fluctuates based on supply and demand, reflecting the probability that traders assign to each outcome. As more people buy contracts predicting 'Chelsea and Manchester United have 3 or more total goals?', the price of those contracts increases, and the implied probability rises. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market's price reflects the aggregate assessment of all participants, making it a dynamic and responsive indicator of expectations.

This market resolves around Nov 1, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final result – whether Chelsea and Manchester United score 3 or more total goals in the match – will be determined by official match statistics. The platform will verify the outcome against these sources to ensure accuracy and transparency. Traders holding contracts on the correct outcome will be paid out according to the final market price at resolution.

Several factors could influence this market. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Chelsea or Manchester United would likely cause significant movement. Tactical announcements from either manager, particularly if they suggest a more attacking or defensive approach, could also shift expectations. Even weather conditions on match day – such as heavy rain or strong winds – might affect the perceived likelihood of a high-scoring game. Finally, any late-breaking news related to team morale or internal conflicts could also impact trading activity in this market.
