Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set their lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market aggregates the opinions of individuals with skin in the game. It's common to see discrepancies between the two, especially before a significant amount of trading occurs. These differences can arise from varying levels of information, biases, or simply differing interpretations of the same data. Examining both sets of odds can provide a more comprehensive view of the event’s potential outcomes.

On Limitless, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders can buy and sell contracts representing the outcome of Chelsea and Bournemouth having 11 or more total corners. The price of these contracts fluctuates based on supply and demand, reflecting the collective belief of traders. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy contracts, the price increases, indicating a higher perceived probability of the event occurring. Conversely, increased selling pressure lowers the price. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows the market to quickly incorporate new information and adjust expectations as the event approaches.

This market resolves around Oct 11, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final corner count for the Chelsea versus Bournemouth match will be sourced from official match data. Several factors could influence the price of this market before the match concludes. Late-breaking news regarding key player injuries for either Chelsea or Bournemouth could significantly impact expectations about the game’s flow and, consequently, the number of corners. Tactical changes announced by either manager, particularly those involving attacking strategies, could also shift the market. Even weather conditions on match day, such as strong winds, might affect the likelihood of corners being awarded. Any significant shifts in public sentiment, as reflected in betting patterns, will also be reflected in this market.
