Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from initial sportsbook lines which are often set by experts. Sportsbooks establish odds based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market allows a broader range of participants to express their beliefs about the likely outcome. It’s common to see prediction market prices move independently of sportsbook odds as new information emerges or public sentiment shifts. Examining the difference can reveal insights into how the public perceives the probability of each team winning the first half.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about the probability of a particular outcome. The price of a contract ranges from 0 to 100, representing the probability of that outcome occurring. A higher price indicates a greater perceived chance of that outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market dynamically adjusts as traders react to news, analysis, and each other’s trading activity, forming a real-time assessment of the event’s potential results.
This market resolves around Nov 14, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The team leading at the end of the first half of the Chattanooga vs Furman game will be declared the winner for the purposes of this market. The resolution will be based on official game statistics and results, ensuring a transparent and accurate determination of the winning team. Traders will be able to confirm the resolution details on Kalshi following the conclusion of the first half.
