All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams combined during the first half of the Charlotte vs Temple college football game scheduled for October 17, 2026. Each market has a specific threshold (ranging from 2.5 to 41.5 points); if the combined score exceeds the threshold, the market resolves to 'Yes.' Only points scored in the first half count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is unrelated to the NCAA, and all trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbook odds are typically set by a small number of experts, while this market aggregates insights from many participants. It's common to see differences emerge due to varying information, analytical approaches, and risk assessments. However, both aim to accurately forecast the probability of an event, and comparing them can be a useful exercise for informed decision-making.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell contracts representing different possible outcomes. The price of each contract reflects the market's current expectation of that outcome's probability. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect the collective intelligence of the crowd. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market depth and trading volume influence how quickly prices respond to new information, providing a dynamic and real-time assessment of the event's potential results.
This market resolves around Oct 17, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the total points scored in the first half of the Charlotte vs Temple game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score will be sourced from official game statistics and used to determine which outcome corresponds to the actual result. Traders holding contracts for the correct outcome will receive a payout, while those holding contracts for incorrect outcomes will not. The resolution process ensures a transparent and objective determination of the market's outcome.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before resolution. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in team strategy, or weather conditions could significantly impact expectations. Unexpected announcements about starting lineups or key player availability would likely cause price adjustments. Furthermore, public sentiment and analysis from sports commentators can also play a role, as traders react to new information and adjust their predictions accordingly. Monitoring these signals can help you understand potential shifts in the market.
