This market focuses on determining which team will lead at halftime in an upcoming professional basketball game between Charlotte and Boston. The outcome hinges solely on the points scored during the first half of play, without considering the final game result.
The market resolves based on which team scores more points in the first half of the Charlotte vs Boston Pro Basketball game scheduled for October 14, 2026. If Charlotte scores more points in the first half, its market resolves to Yes. If Boston scores more points in the first half, its market resolves to Yes. If neither team wins the first half—meaning the halves are tied—the Tie market resolves to Yes. For all markets, only points scored during the first half count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the market remains open and resolves based on the official result. If the game is cancelled or does not start within 48 hours of the scheduled time, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the governing league, and all trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from those offered by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set their lines to balance action and ensure a profit margin, while this market allows traders to express their own probabilities. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook’s odds are inaccurate, they can buy or sell contracts, driving the price to reflect their collective assessment. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before a lot of information becomes available, and those differences can present opportunities for informed traders.
This market resolves around Oct 15, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The team leading at the end of the first half of the Charlotte vs Boston game will be declared the winner of this market. The official score at halftime, as reported by official game sources, will be used to determine the winning outcome. Traders holding contracts on the winning team will receive a payout, while those holding contracts on the losing team will not.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding player injuries or changes to the starting lineups for either the Charlotte or Boston teams would likely have a significant impact. Game-day reports about team strategies or weather conditions could also shift trader sentiment. Unexpected performance in other games leading up to this one, or even early performance within the first few minutes of the game itself, could cause prices to fluctuate as traders react to new information and adjust their predictions.
