Prediction market odds, like those found on Polymarket and Predict for this market, often differ from traditional sportsbook odds due to the mechanisms by which they are determined. Sportsbooks set odds based on internal models and aim to balance their risk, while prediction markets aggregate the opinions of many individuals, creating a 'wisdom of the crowd' effect. This can lead to prediction markets being more accurate, particularly when there is significant public information available. However, sportsbooks may offer different types of wagers or have different margins, impacting the comparison. The current volume of $1,736 suggests active trading in this market.
