However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and incorporate a profit margin, while this market allows traders to directly express their beliefs about the probability of each exact score. If a significant discrepancy exists between the two, opportunities may arise for arbitrage, where traders can profit by taking opposing positions on Polymarket and at a sportsbook. However, it’s important to note that sportsbooks and prediction markets have different user bases and risk appetites, which can contribute to differing odds.

Several factors could influence the price of shares in this market. Any news regarding team injuries, suspensions, or changes in coaching staff could significantly shift expectations. Unexpected weather conditions at the match venue could also play a role. Furthermore, the performance of the teams in their preceding matches and any public statements from key players or managers could impact trader sentiment. A surprising result in a related soccer match could also indirectly affect this market, as it might influence perceptions of team form and momentum. Monitoring these signals will be crucial for informed trading.
