Generally, prediction market odds often reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and to balance action, while this market is driven by traders who are incentivized to accurately predict the outcome. Therefore, you may find that the implied probabilities in this market diverge from those offered by sportsbooks, especially as new information becomes available. It's common to see prediction markets incorporate information more quickly than sportsbooks, leading to potentially different price discovery.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing different outcomes. The price of each share reflects the market's collective belief about the probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders participate and new information emerges, the prices adjust accordingly. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Price movements are influenced by factors like team news, injuries, and overall market sentiment, all of which are reflected in the trading activity. The current volume indicates the level of interest and conviction among traders.

Furthermore, unexpected weather conditions or referee assignments might influence market sentiment. Finally, any significant public statements from team coaches or players could also contribute to price movements in this market as traders react to new information.
