These markets track the total points scored by both teams during the first half of a college football game. Each market has a different threshold, and the outcome depends on whether the combined score exceeds that threshold. The markets remain active if the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams during the first half of the Central Michigan vs Ohio college football game scheduled for October 10, 2026. For each market, if the combined score exceeds the specified threshold (e.g., Over 2.5 points, Over 6.5 points, etc.), the market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. Only points scored in the first half count. If the game is postponed but commences within 48 hours of its original scheduled start time, all markets remain open and resolve based on the official final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours of the original time, all markets resolve to a fair price. Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from sportsbook odds which may be influenced by factors like house bias or initial public perception. Sportsbooks set lines based on their models and risk management, while this market allows a broader range of participants to express their beliefs about the game's outcome. It's common to see discrepancies, especially before significant information emerges or as the event approaches. Comparing the two can offer insights into public sentiment versus professional analysis.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous auction format, where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether the first half total points scored in the Central Michigan vs Ohio game will be over or under a specific number. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of these contracts reflects the collective wisdom of the crowd, and fluctuates based on supply and demand. As more traders believe a particular outcome is likely, the price of contracts representing that outcome will increase, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows for a constantly updated assessment of probabilities.
This market resolves around Oct 10, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the official first-half total points scored in the Central Michigan vs Ohio game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score will be sourced from official game statistics and used to determine which contracts pay out. The resolution process is designed to be objective and transparent, ensuring accurate settlement based on the actual event result.
Several factors could influence this market before resolution. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Central Michigan or Ohio would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they suggest conditions favoring a high or low-scoring game, could also impact trading activity. Additionally, late-breaking news about team strategies or coaching decisions, as well as significant shifts in public perception based on pre-game analysis, could all contribute to price fluctuations in this market.
