Prediction market odds, like those found on Polymarket and Kalshi, often differ from traditional sportsbook odds due to the different incentives and information sources at play. Sportsbooks set odds to maximize profit, factoring in a margin for themselves, while prediction markets rely on the collective intelligence of traders who are incentivized to accurately forecast the outcome. This market, specifically, may show discrepancies reflecting differing opinions on team performance, injuries, or other factors not fully captured by sportsbook algorithms. The wisdom of the crowd can sometimes lead to more accurate predictions than those offered by traditional bookmakers.
