Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and incorporate a profit margin, while this market relies on the collective predictions of traders. If a significant number of people believe a particular outcome is more likely than sportsbooks suggest, the odds on Polymarket will shift accordingly. This can sometimes lead to better value for informed bettors, as the market tends to be more efficient at incorporating new information and diverse perspectives than a single sportsbook's assessment.
