Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks set odds based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to express their belief about the outcome. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook has mispriced an outcome, they can trade against it, driving the prediction market odds closer to what they perceive as the true probability. It's common to see prediction markets outperform traditional bookmakers, particularly as more information becomes available.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each possible outcome – in this case, which team will score first, or that neither team will score. The price of these shares fluctuates based on supply and demand, reflecting the collective prediction of the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current probability of CD San José de Soria or Auriense CA scoring first is indicated by the share price, with higher prices signifying greater confidence in that outcome.

This market resolves around Oct 4, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on which team, if any, scores the first goal in the CD San José de Soria vs. Auriense CA match. Official match reports and sources will be used to determine the first scoring team, or to confirm if neither team manages to score during the match. The platform will then finalize the market and distribute payouts to winning traders.

Several factors could influence the trading activity in this market. Any news regarding team injuries, changes in coaching staff, or even weather conditions could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected lineup announcements before the match would also likely cause movement. Furthermore, any public statements from key players or analysts offering predictions about the match could impact the odds. As the match date approaches, increased media coverage and public attention will likely lead to higher trading volume and potentially more significant price fluctuations.
