Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and need to account for profit margins, while this market is driven purely by traders' willingness to buy or sell. This can lead to discrepancies, especially when public sentiment strongly diverges from the sportsbook's initial assessment. It's common to see prediction markets move more quickly to incorporate new information or react to unexpected developments than traditional odds, offering a potentially more dynamic view of the likely outcome.
