Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from those set by sportsbooks which may incorporate biases or proprietary models. Sportsbooks often set initial odds to balance their risk, while this market allows anyone to trade based on their own analysis. If a significant discrepancy exists between the implied probability on Polymarket and sportsbook lines, it could indicate differing perspectives on the likely result of the second half. However, it’s important to remember that both represent probabilities, and neither guarantees the actual outcome.

This market resolves around Oct 11, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official result of the second half of the CD Malacateco vs. CD Guastatoya match. The outcome will be determined by which result occurred during the official match play, and will be verified against credible public sources. Several factors could influence trading activity and shift the odds in this market. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in team formations, or even weather conditions could impact the perceived likelihood of different outcomes. Unexpected in-game events during the first half, such as red cards or early goals, could also lead to significant price movements. Furthermore, large trades by influential market participants could sway the market, as could broader shifts in public sentiment regarding the teams’ performance.
