In the upcoming Taca de Portugal game between CD Mafra and CD Santa Clara, scheduled for October 18, 2026 at 10:00 AM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the CD Mafra vs. CD Santa Clara match originally scheduled for October 18, 2026 at 10:00 AM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market is driven purely by the collective wisdom of traders. If a significant number of traders believe a particular outcome is more likely than implied by sportsbook odds, the price will move accordingly. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply varying interpretations of the teams’ strengths. It’s common to see this market diverge from initial sportsbook offerings as new information becomes available.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing each possible exact score, and the price of each share reflects the market's implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, and the implied probability rises. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market is entirely driven by supply and demand; there are no external factors influencing the pricing beyond the actions of traders on the platform. This creates a dynamic and responsive price discovery process.
This market resolves around Oct 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final, official result of the CD Mafra vs. CD Santa Clara match—the exact score—will be used to determine which shares pay out. The resolution will be based on the score reported by official sources, ensuring a transparent and verifiable outcome. Traders should monitor official sources for the final result to understand when and how this market settles.
Several factors could influence the price of shares in this market. Any news regarding player injuries, team form, or tactical changes could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected weather conditions on match day could also play a role, particularly if they favor one team's playing style. Major announcements related to team management or significant changes in player availability are also likely to move the market. Furthermore, large trading volume from informed traders could indicate a shift in expectations and cause a noticeable price change.
