Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on statistical models and expert opinions, but may also incorporate a margin for profit. This market, however, is driven by traders who are incentivized to accurately predict the outcome, potentially leading to more efficient pricing. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply varying levels of market participation. It’s common to see prediction markets move faster to incorporate new information than traditional betting markets.
