Generally, prediction market odds often reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from those set by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks may incorporate factors like public perception or promotional offers into their odds, while this market relies purely on traders’ willingness to buy or sell based on their own analysis. Discrepancies can arise from differing information sources, analytical approaches, or even biases. It’s common to see prediction markets offer more accurate probabilities, especially when a significant amount of volume is traded, as they aggregate diverse perspectives on the likely outcome.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each exact score outcome. As more shares are traded, the price of each share fluctuates, reflecting the collective assessment of the crowd. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of a 'yes' share for a particular score represents the probability of that score occurring, as perceived by the market participants. Higher demand for a specific outcome drives up its price, indicating greater confidence in that result. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the latest information and insights.
This market resolves around Nov 2, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting.
