Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can sometimes differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to profit from margins, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. If a significant number of traders believe a team is more likely to score first than sportsbooks suggest, the odds on Polymarket will shift accordingly. It's common to see discrepancies, especially before major events or when new information emerges, offering potential value for informed traders.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each outcome. The price of these shares directly reflects the implied probability of that team scoring first. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the prices adjust to reflect the collective assessment. The market’s depth—the number of shares available at different price points—indicates the level of confidence in each outcome. Currently, the market volume is $3.
This market resolves around Oct 28, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting.
