This market focuses on predicting whether either team will dominate the opposition by a margin of two or more goals within the first period of an NHL game. It reflects the potential for early-game momentum and scoring bursts between two competitive teams. Outcomes are determined solely by the score differential at the end of the first period, ignoring later developments in the match.
The market resolves based on whether either Carolina or Philadelphia wins the first period by more than 1.5 goals (i.e., by at least two goals). If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the market remains active and resolves according to the official result. If the game is cancelled or does not start within this window, all markets resolve to a fair price. Overtime in the third period is excluded from consideration for these markets, though it does not affect the first-period resolution criteria.
