This set of markets focuses on predicting the margin of victory in the third quarter of an upcoming football game between Carolina and Green Bay. Each market corresponds to a different point differential threshold that determines whether a specific outcome is considered a win for the bettor.
All markets resolve based solely on the point differential between Carolina and Green Bay at the end of the third quarter of the game scheduled for October 29, 2026. For any market where Green Bay is specified to win by a certain margin, the market resolves to 'Yes' only if Green Bay's score exceeds Carolina's by more than the stated threshold at the end of the third quarter. Conversely, for markets where Carolina is specified to win by a certain margin, the market resolves to 'Yes' only if Carolina's score exceeds Green Bay's by more than the stated threshold at the end of the third quarter. No points scored in any other quarter contribute to the resolution of these markets. If the game is postponed or canceled, all markets will be voided.
Generally, prediction markets like Kalshi often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbook odds are typically set by analysts aiming to balance action and ensure profitability, while this market is driven by individuals trading on their own beliefs. It's common to see differences emerge, especially as new information becomes available or public sentiment shifts. While direct comparisons can be insightful, it’s important to remember that each represents a distinct form of forecasting, and this market's price reflects the aggregated predictions of its traders.
This market resolves around Oct 30, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official 3rd quarter spread of the Carolina versus Green Bay game, as determined by official league results. The final score difference will be compared to the spread to determine whether Green Bay wins by more than 2.5 points, or if Carolina wins or ties. The market will then settle accordingly, reflecting the actual game results.
Several factors could influence the price of this market leading up to the game. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Carolina or Green Bay would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they suggest conditions favoring one team's offensive or defensive style, could also impact trading activity. Furthermore, any significant shifts in public sentiment, perhaps driven by expert analysis or updated betting lines at sportsbooks, might affect how traders position themselves in this market. Game-day developments, even early in the game, could also lead to rapid price adjustments.
