Description

These markets track how many goals are scored in the third period of an NHL hockey game between Carolina and Edmonton. Each market corresponds to a different threshold of goals, determining whether the scoring activity exceeds that benchmark. The outcomes depend solely on the official game result, with specific handling for postponements and cancellations.

Kalshi

All markets resolve based on the total number of goals scored by both teams combined in the third period of the Carolina vs Edmonton NHL game scheduled for October 22, 2026, with each market having a distinct threshold (0.5, 1.5, or 2.5 goals). If the cumulative goals exceed the respective threshold, the market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. Importantly, third-period markets exclude any goals scored during overtime. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of its original scheduled time, the markets remain active and resolve based on the final official result. However, if the game is cancelled or fails to start within the 48-hour window, all markets resolve to a fair price, ensuring equitable treatment for all participants under exceptional circumstances.
