Prediction market odds often reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, incorporating a profit margin. This market, however, is driven by individuals freely trading based on their own information and beliefs. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information sources, biases, or simply the dynamic nature of a decentralized market. It’s common to see prediction markets react more quickly to new information than sportsbooks, but this isn’t always the case.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of a particular outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more people buy shares in a specific outcome, its price increases, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market reflects the collective intelligence of all participants, creating a constantly updated forecast for the Capbatut vs. Cosogolov match.
This market resolves around Nov 9, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Capbatut vs. Cosogolov match as declared by the governing sports organization. Any disputes or ambiguities will be resolved using widely accepted sources of sports information. Traders will be able to claim their winnings based on the final, verified result, and the platform will automatically distribute funds accordingly.
