PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Polymarket includes extensive no-result provisions for game abandonment or cancellation, while Kalshi lacks these provisions, creating a risk of unresolved markets if the game doesn't complete as scheduled.Hero tip: Be aware that Polymarket's rules provide more clarity on how abandoned or canceled games will be resolved, potentially impacting your trading strategy.

Critical divergence points:

  • Polymarket: If the game is canceled, does not start by November 14, 2026, or is abandoned with no official result, the market will resolve to 'No' or based on governing body rulings. "If this market's outcome was definitively determined under its rules by the listed resolution sources before abandonment, that outcome will stand. Otherwise, the following no-result provisions apply."
  • Kalshi: Only specifies resolution based on a win after 90 minutes plus stoppage time. No mention of abandonment or cancellation scenarios. "If Cameroon wins the Cameroon vs Namibia professional AFCON Qualifiers soccer game originally scheduled for Nov 12, 2026 after 90 minutes plus stoppage time (does not include extra time or penalties), then the market resolves to Yes."
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.
