These markets track the total points scored by both teams during the second quarter of an upcoming college football game. Each market has a different threshold for the total points needed to resolve as 'Yes'.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams specifically during the second quarter of the California vs UNLV college football game scheduled for October 3, 2026. Each market has a unique threshold, ranging from more than 2.5 points to more than 27.5 points. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve according to the official result. If the game does not start within 48 hours of the scheduled time, all markets resolve to a fair price. Only points scored in the second quarter count toward resolution, and Kalshi disclaims any affiliation with the NCAA.
Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of participants, which can sometimes differ from those set by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks establish lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market is driven by individuals expressing their beliefs about the likely outcome. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before significant events or when new information emerges. Examining these differences can provide valuable insights into public perception and potential value in either market.
This market resolves around Oct 3, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the total points scored in the 2nd quarter of the California vs UNLV game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score will be sourced from official game statistics and used to determine which contracts pay out. All contracts predicting the correct total points scored in the 2nd quarter will be settled at 100, while those predicting an incorrect total will settle to zero. This process ensures a transparent and objective resolution.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding player injuries to key offensive players on either the California or UNLV teams would likely have a significant impact. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to affect scoring, could also shift the market. Furthermore, any late-breaking information about team strategies or coaching decisions might cause traders to reassess their predictions. Public sentiment and betting trends in sportsbooks could also indirectly influence trading activity on Kalshi.
