Generally, prediction market odds often reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and to balance action, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or risk appetites. It's common to see prediction markets move more quickly to incorporate new information, and sometimes offer more favorable odds than sportsbooks, depending on public sentiment and trading activity.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders believe an outcome is likely, the higher the share price will climb, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market reflects the collective intelligence of all participants, constantly adjusting as new information becomes available.
This market resolves around Oct 28, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting.
