Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, representing their profit margin, and may be influenced by promotional considerations. This market, however, reflects the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to accurately predict the outcome. While sportsbooks may initially set odds based on expert analysis, prediction markets can quickly adjust to new information and changing sentiment, potentially offering a more efficient assessment of probabilities. It's common to see discrepancies between the two, especially as the event approaches.
