Generally, prediction market odds often reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from those set by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks establish lines based on their own analysis and to balance betting action, while this market represents the collective belief of traders. If a significant discrepancy exists between the two, opportunities for arbitrage may arise, where traders can profit by betting on both venues. However, it’s important to note that sportsbooks and prediction markets have different costs and incentives, which can lead to sustained differences.
