Description

This market focuses on predicting whether either team will dominate the first period of an upcoming NHL game by winning by a margin of two or more goals. It reflects the potential for early-game momentum shifts between the two teams. The outcome depends solely on the score differential within the first period of play.

Kalshi

The market resolves based on whether either Calgary or San Jose wins the first period by more than 1.5 goals (i.e., by at least two goals). If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the market remains active and resolves according to the official result. If the game is cancelled or does not start within this window, all markets resolve to a fair price. Overtime in the third period is excluded from consideration for these markets, though it does not affect the first period outcome determination.
