Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance action, while this market allows traders to freely express their beliefs about the probability of each team scoring first. If a significant number of traders believe a team is more likely to score first than sportsbooks suggest, the odds on Polymarket will shift accordingly. These differences can present opportunities for arbitrage, where traders exploit discrepancies between the two types of markets to potentially profit. It's common to see prediction markets more accurately forecast outcomes than traditional odds.

This market resolves around Oct 11, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome will be determined by which team, if any, scores the first goal in the Calcio Padova vs. Carrarese Calcio match. If neither team scores during the match, the 'Neither team to score first' outcome will be considered the result. The resolution will be based on official match data and verified against credible public sources to ensure accuracy and fairness for all traders participating in this market.

Several factors could influence the price movement of this market before resolution. Any news regarding team injuries, suspensions, or changes in coaching staff could significantly impact the perceived likelihood of each team scoring first. Unexpected weather conditions on match day, or even pre-match analysis from reputable sports commentators, could also shift trader sentiment. Furthermore, large volume trades on Polymarket can create short-term price fluctuations, and any updates on team formations or tactical approaches could drive changes in the odds as traders react to new information.
