Generally, prediction market odds often reflect information and insights beyond those considered by traditional sportsbooks. While sportsbooks set lines based on statistical models and expert opinions, this market incorporates the collective wisdom of many traders. This can lead to differences in probabilities, especially as new information emerges or public sentiment shifts. It’s common to see prediction markets react more quickly to breaking news or unexpected developments than sportsbooks, offering a potentially more up-to-date assessment of the likely outcome.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of each contract reflects the market’s collective belief about the probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the prices adjust accordingly. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price movements are driven by supply and demand, with higher demand pushing prices up and lower demand pushing them down, ultimately establishing a real-time probability assessment.
This market resolves around Oct 11, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final result of the Cal Poly vs. Idaho State game, as reported by official sources, will determine the winning outcome in this market. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings based on the final outcome.
Several signals could significantly impact this market. Any news regarding injuries to key players on either the Cal Poly or Idaho State teams would likely cause price fluctuations.
