PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

Both Polymarket and Predict utilize identical resolution criteria based on second-half goals, including stoppage time, and have the same fallback resolution procedures for postponement or cancellation.Primary resolution logic: Official match statistics as recognized by the governing body or event organizers, with fallback to Flashscore, Sofascore, and credible reporting.

Core resolution logic:

  • The team with more goals scored in the second half (including stoppage time) wins.
  • If both teams score the same number of goals in the second half, the market resolves to 'Draw'.
  • If the game is postponed, the market remains open until the game is completed.
  • If the game is canceled entirely, the market resolves to 'Draw'.

Edge cases & clarifications:

  • No Goals in Second Half: If no goals are scored in the second half, the market resolves to 'Draw'.
  • Data Source Discrepancy: If discrepancies arise between official statistics and fallback sources, the official statistics take precedence.
Timing: Within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, or when official statistics are available, whichever is later. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours, the market will resolve 50-50, or to 'Draw' where applicable. Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds, like those found for this market, often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while prediction markets allow traders to freely express their beliefs. This can lead to discrepancies, especially when public sentiment strongly diverges from expert opinion. However, both aim to accurately forecast the probability of an event, and arbitrage opportunities may arise if significant differences exist between them.
