PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

Both Polymarket and Predict define the same resolution criteria and data source hierarchy, ensuring consistent market outcomes.Primary resolution logic: Official match statistics as recognized by the governing body or event organizers.

Core resolution logic:

  • The first team to score within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time determines the winner.
  • If neither team scores within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time, the market resolves to "Neither".
  • Postponed games remain open until completion; canceled games resolve to "Neither".

Edge cases & clarifications:

  • Data Availability: If official statistics are unavailable within 2 hours, Flashscore is used. If Flashscore is unavailable, Sofascore is used. If neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting is used. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours, the market resolves 50-50 or to "Draw" where applicable.
  • Game Cancellation: If the game is canceled entirely with no make-up game, the market resolves to "Neither".
  • Extra Time/Penalties: Goals scored during extra time or penalty shoot-outs are explicitly excluded from consideration.
Timing: Resolution will occur after the completion of the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time, and no later than 24 hours after the event's conclusion, subject to data availability. Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds, like those found in this market, often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while prediction markets allow traders to freely express their beliefs. This can lead to discrepancies, especially when public sentiment strongly diverges from expert opinion. While sportsbooks may incorporate factors like team news and injuries, this market incorporates a broader range of information and collective intelligence.

Polymarket and Predict can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Price discrepancies between Polymarket and Predict on this market can arise from several factors. Each platform attracts a different user base with varying risk appetites and information advantages, leading to differing opinions on the likelihood of each outcome. Trading volume also plays a role; lower volume on one platform can result in greater price volatility and divergence. Furthermore, the specific mechanisms for price discovery – how traders place bets and update their beliefs – may differ slightly between Polymarket and Predict, contributing to these observed price variations in the Cagliari vs. Frosinone first-to-score market.

This market resolves around Nov 7, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome will be determined by which team scores the first goal in the Cagliari vs. Frosinone match. Any goals scored during regulation time, extra time, or penalty shootouts will be considered, depending on the specific competition rules. The result will be verified against official match data and widely available sports news sources.

Several factors could significantly impact this market. Late-breaking news regarding player injuries or suspensions for either Cagliari or Frosinone would likely cause price movement. Changes in team formations or tactical approaches announced before the match could also shift predictions. Unexpected weather conditions on match day could influence the style of play and, consequently, the likelihood of either team scoring first. Even significant shifts in public sentiment, driven by social media or expert analysis, can move the odds in this market.
