If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market relies on the collective wisdom of traders. If a significant number of traders believe a particular exact score is more likely than sportsbooks suggest, the price of shares representing that outcome will increase, potentially offering better value than available at a sportsbook. However, discrepancies can occur due to differing information or risk assessments.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing each possible exact score. The price of each share reflects the market’s implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the price adjusts to reflect the evolving consensus. The more shares purchased for a specific outcome, the higher its price becomes, indicating increased confidence in that result. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the most up-to-date predictions.
This market resolves around Oct 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final, official exact score of the River Plate vs. Racing Club match will be used to determine the winning shares. The resolution will be based on the official result declared by the governing sports body, ensuring a transparent and verifiable outcome for all participants. Traders will be able to claim their winnings once the resolution is finalized.
Several factors could influence the price of shares in this market. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either River Plate or Racing Club would likely cause significant movement. Changes in team form, tactical adjustments announced by the managers, or even weather conditions on match day could also impact trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements related to the match schedule or venue could also create volatility, as traders adjust their predictions based on the latest information.
