If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Generally, prediction market odds often reflect a more accurate forecast than traditional sportsbook odds, as they aggregate the wisdom of the crowd. This is because prediction markets incentivize participants to provide honest assessments, while sportsbook odds are influenced by factors like house margins and public biases. However, it's important to note that sportsbooks have different information and expertise, and discrepancies can occur. Comparing this market to sportsbook lines can reveal whether the crowd believes there's value in a particular outcome that sportsbooks may be underestimating or overestimating.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing different possible exact scores. The price of each share reflects the market's collective belief about the probability of that score occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the prices adjust accordingly, providing a dynamic and real-time assessment of the event's potential outcomes. The current trading volume indicates the level of interest and conviction surrounding each possible result.
This market resolves around Nov 1, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final, official result of the CA Progreso vs. Defensor Sporting match will be used to determine the winning share(s). The resolution will be based on the officially recorded score at the conclusion of the match, as reported by a recognized sports data provider. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings based on the outcome of this market.
Several signals or events could significantly move this market before resolution. Any news regarding team injuries, suspensions, or changes in coaching staff would likely impact the perceived probabilities of different exact scores. Unexpected weather conditions on match day could also play a role, potentially favoring one team over another. Furthermore, shifts in public sentiment or analysis from sports commentators could influence trading activity and cause the market to react. Monitoring these factors can help traders identify potential opportunities and adjust their positions accordingly.
