Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Price discrepancies between Polymarket and Kalshi can arise due to several factors. Each platform has its own user base, trading dynamics, and fee structure, all of which can influence pricing. Differences in liquidity – the amount of volume being traded – can also cause variations. Furthermore, the specific market design on each platform, such as the available outcomes or the settlement rules, can contribute to divergent prices. These factors create unique market conditions on each platform, resulting in differing probabilities for the Argentinian soccer match.
