In the upcoming Primera División Argentina game between CA Banfield and CA Lanús, scheduled for October 24, 2026 at 1:45 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the CA Banfield vs. CA Lanús match originally scheduled for October 24, 2026 at 1:45 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, ensuring a profit margin, while this market allows traders to directly assess the probability of each exact score. This can lead to discrepancies, as the 'wisdom of the crowd' on Polymarket may assign different probabilities than professional oddsmakers. It’s common to see prediction markets outperform sportsbooks, especially when there’s strong public interest and informed trading activity surrounding an event like the Banfield vs. Lanús match.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing each possible exact score, and the price of each share reflects the market's collective belief about the probability of that outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price will move based on supply and demand – if many traders believe a particular score is likely, they will buy shares, driving up the price, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market reflects the most up-to-date information and insights from participants.
This market resolves around Oct 24, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final, official exact score of the Banfield vs. Lanús match will be used to determine the winning shares. Any disputes regarding the official result will be addressed based on widely accepted sports data sources. Traders holding shares in the correct exact score will receive a payout of 1 USDC per share, while shares in incorrect outcomes will be worth 0 USDC upon resolution of this market.
Several factors could influence the trading activity and price movement in this market. Any news regarding team lineups, player injuries, or changes in coaching staff for either Banfield or Lanús could significantly impact the perceived probabilities of different exact scores. Unexpected weather conditions on match day could also play a role. Furthermore, major shifts in public sentiment, perhaps driven by expert analysis or social media discussion, could lead to increased trading volume and price fluctuations as traders adjust their positions in this market.
