This market, driven by the collective wisdom of traders, aims to reflect the true probability of an outcome. While sportsbooks may initially set lines based on power rankings and expert analysis, this market dynamically adjusts as new information and opinions emerge. On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of each contract reflects the market’s collective belief about the probability of that outcome occurring. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and express their views, the prices adjust accordingly, creating a dynamic and real-time assessment of the event’s likelihood. The current price indicates what traders are willing to pay for a share of the potential payout if their predicted outcome comes to fruition.
